Family Dispute in Dibër: 34-Year-Old Assaults Sister-in-Law, Her Son Fires Gun into the Air

A family dispute in Majtarë, Dibër, risked escalating after a 34-year-old man assaulted his sister-in-law, while her son fired a gun into the air.

Police said in an official statement that 34-year-old D. E. is suspected of assaulting his sister-in-law, 40-year-old F. E.

Following the dispute, the 40-year-old woman’s son, 19-year-old F. E., is suspected of taking a gun and firing into the air to threaten his uncle.

Police intervened in time, arresting the 34-year-old, while the 19-year-old has been declared wanted.

Three other people are also facing criminal proceedings while remaining at liberty in connection with the incident. Two women, aged 40 and 25, are suspected of assaulting each other, while a 38-year-old man is under investigation on suspicion of attempting to conceal evidence at the scene.

A man assaulted his sister-in-law and, during the dispute, her son fired a gun into the air to threaten his uncle. Thanks to the timely intervention of the police, the dispute was prevented from escalating further.

The 34-year-old who assaulted his sister-in-law was detained, the 19-year-old who fired a gun into the air was declared wanted, and three others are facing criminal proceedings while remaining at liberty.

Immediately after receiving a report of a dispute within a family in the village of Majtarë, officers from the Dibër Police Commissariat organized their response and went to the scene to clarify the circumstances and determine who was involved in the dispute.

As a result of the timely intervention and police action, the dispute was prevented from escalating further, and 34-year-old D. E. was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his sister-in-law, 40-year-old F. E.

Meanwhile, the 40-year-old woman’s son, 19-year-old F. E., was declared wanted. He is suspected of firing a gun into the air to threaten D. E., his uncle. Efforts to apprehend him are continuing, along with searches to locate and seize the firearm used during the dispute.

Criminal proceedings were also initiated, with the suspects remaining at liberty, against 40-year-old F. E. and 25-year-old A. E. for assaulting each other, as well as against 38-year-old E. E., who is suspected of attempting to conceal evidence at the scene.

The case materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Dibër Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction for further action.
