Erdogan: Without the countries of the region, there can be no lasting peace; Netanyahu and the Israeli government are leading the Middle East toward bloodshed

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that lasting peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved if the countries of the region are left out of the process.

In a statement made in Istanbul, where Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was also present, Erdogan accused the Israeli government, saying it is trying to undermine the agreements between the United States and Iran. On this occasion, he further intensified his stance toward Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Any solution that is not supported by the will and contribution of the countries of the region cannot be permanent,” Erdogan said.

He underlined that Turkey is closely following developments related to the US-Iran agreements and accused the current Israeli government of fueling new tensions in the region. According to him, “the Israeli government, addicted to war, must not be allowed to drag the region into blood and gunpowder.”

In his remarks, Erdogan also touched on relations between Turkey and Pakistan, stressing the goal of deepening cooperation in sectors such as energy, transport, technology and defense, as well as increasing bilateral trade to $5 billion.

At the same time, a business forum was also held in Istanbul with the participation of official representatives of both countries. Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said Turkish companies are prepared to take part in Pakistan’s projects, especially in modernizing the energy sector and transforming the country’s electricity system.
