The financial contribution of emigrants to Kičevo is estimated at around 25 to 30 million euros each year. According to TV Gurra, this amount is even higher than the Municipality of Kičevo’s annual budget, making the diaspora one of the main contributors to the local economy.

During the summer months, Kičevo sees its population almost double and takes on the atmosphere of a tourist destination. The arrival of emigrants directly contributes to increased consumption, stronger local businesses, and investment in housing and real estate, driving the city’s economic development.
