Electrician also dies after coming into contact with electricity in Vau i Dejës, raising the death toll from the incident

The serious incident that occurred on Saturday evening in the village of Karmë, Vau i Dejës, has taken on an even more tragic dimension, after the two people involved in the incident died following contact with electricity outside a restaurant.

Sokol Preka, 40, who worked as the restaurant’s security guard, died first. Electrician David Deda, 46, who had come into contact with the electricity, also failed to survive and died while being transported to hospital.

Police initially suspect that both men were electrocuted in the outdoor area of the restaurant.

As the investigation continues, the investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, is working to determine the full circumstances of the incident.

In its notice updating the death toll, police announced that citizen D. D., 46, an electrician by profession, died on the way to hospital. According to the authorities, investigations to fully clarify the circumstances are continuing under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office.
