Eldi Dizdari, also known as Denis Matoshi and nicknamed “Alduth”, has been extradited from Dubai to Belgium. Belgian media report that he is in prison after being sentenced to ten years in Antwerp.

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates arrested Dizdari around two years ago, following Belgium’s request for his extradition, according to Belgian media reports.
On Wednesday, he left the Emirates by plane. After several hours of travel, he arrived at Melsbroek military airport and was then immediately taken to a prison in Belgium.
This year, the Antwerp court found Dizdari guilty of involvement in the drug shipments examined in the “Yaramis” case and sentenced him to 10 years in prison, as well as a fine of 80,000 euros.
The ruling also provides for the confiscation of 7.5 million euros, an amount the court attributes to Dizdari’s criminal proceeds.
SPAK has dismantled the group that Dizdari and Dritan Gjika are suspected of belonging to. Its members are suspected of transporting at least 50 tons of cocaine from Latin America to European Union countries.
