Officers from the Plazh Police Station arrested a 30-year-old man who was wanted by the authorities after he attempted to evade police officers in a stolen vehicle, causing collisions and endangering citizens and police officers.

The incident occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on “Pavarësia” Street. During patrols, police officers spotted a car without license plates and with tinted windows whose driver was making dangerous maneuvers.
After noticing the patrol and receiving a signal to stop, he increased his speed and attempted to flee.
During the pursuit, the vehicle collided with four other cars. The driver abandoned the vehicle and continued his escape on foot, but was apprehended shortly afterward by police officers.
Checks revealed that the detained individual, M. K., 30, was wanted for the criminal offense of theft. The car he was driving had also been stolen one day earlier in Tepelenë.
Police arrested the 30-year-old in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of theft, disobeying an order from a public order officer, violating road traffic regulations, and irregular driving.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Durrës First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction for further investigation.
