Dubrava Prison Guard Temporarily Removed from Duty Over Suspicions of Serious Disciplinary Violations

The Kosovo Prison Administration has confirmed the immediate suspension of an employee engaged at the Dubrava Correctional Center, temporarily removing him from the employment relationship.

According to the decision issued by the Disciplinary Commission on July 14, 2026, correctional officer D.Q. has been placed under suspension, after an internal investigation was opened on suspicion of serious violations of service rules.

This suspension will remain in effect without interruption until the relevant authorities issue a new act, the KCS explained through a press release.

The institution emphasizes that it treats all cases that undermine official duties with the utmost seriousness and that it is determined to protect its institutional integrity, enforcing the law without leniency.

At the same time, the Correctional Service guarantees that throughout the disciplinary procedure phase, the fundamental right of presumption of innocence will be respected, until the competent bodies issue a final decision.
