Correctional officer in Dubrava suspended for suspected disciplinary violation

An officer serving at the Dubrava Correctional Center has been temporarily suspended from duty by the Kosovo Correctional Service. The measure follows the launch of disciplinary proceedings for a serious violation that is suspected to have occurred.

The Disciplinary Commission decided to suspend the employee with the initials D. Q. on 14 July 2026. According to the official notice, this measure will remain in force until a final decision on the case is reached.

The institution stressed that the suspension is a consequence of opening a disciplinary investigation for a serious violation, and emphasized its commitment to enforcing the law and protecting institutional integrity. In the statement, the KCS added that any case raising suspicion of breaches of official duties is treated seriously, but the principle of presumption of innocence is also respected until a final and binding decision by the competent bodies.
