Dua Lipa Supports Anti-Government Protests as Flamingos Become Part of “Sunny Hill”

The “Sunny Hill” festival, organized by internationally renowned Albanian singer Dua Lipa, will return to Pristina again this year. The event will take place from July 31 to August 2.

This edition coincides with mass anti-government protests in Albania, which began in Zvërnec as an environmental initiative to protect nature.

Dua Lipa had previously voiced her support for the protests during a conversation on writer Lea Ypi’s podcast. The artist’s interview also drew attention from international media.

In another strong show of support for the cause, the singer has chosen to place flamingos, the symbol of the protests, at the festival entrance. The “Sunny Hill” audience grows from year to year, while an increasing number of well-known names from the global music scene are joining the festival.

Katy Perry tops the lineup for this edition, which will also feature Martin Garrix, Lewis Capaldi, Adam Port and Rampa of Keinemusik, Seth Troxler, PAWSA and Carlita.

The festival was founded in 2018 by Dukagjin Lipa and is promoted internationally by his daughter, Dua Lipa. Every year, “Sunny Hill” attracts more than 100,000 attendees from nearly 60 countries.
