Dramatic footage from Singapore: cargo ship collides with Chinese fishing boat

Footage of a collision between two vessels in Singaporean waters has been posted on social media.

The incident involved the cargo ship “First Margaux,” sailing under the Panamanian flag, and the Chinese fishing vessel “Luqing Yuanyu 108.”

The impact caused considerable damage to the fishing boat, which listed heavily toward the sea. The recorded video shows sailors trying to remain standing and keep their balance as water covered the deck.

The recording reflects the danger faced by the crew after the collision, at a moment when the fishing vessel remained tilted.

It is not yet known whether the collision caused any casualties. The causes that led to the incident between the two vessels have also not been disclosed so far.
