Double Killing in Greece/Shocked Mother of 45-Year-Old Albanian Woman Speaks: She Had Not Told Me About Any Relationship…

The mother of 45-year-old Albanian woman Julieta Obzova, who was killed in the early hours of today in Nea Smyrni, Athens, Greece, is in a state of shock. She learned of her daughter’s death from her other daughter shortly after the incident.

“I don’t know anything. She hadn’t told me anything,” the victim’s mother told reporters, with tears in her eyes. She said her daughter had not told her about any romantic relationship and that she had separated from her former husband a long time ago.

48-year-old waited for her in his car

According to new evidence from the investigation, the 48-year-old man of Albanian origin, identified as Altin Allmuça, is suspected of having lain in wait in his vehicle near the apartment building on Grigoriu Kydonion Street, where the 45-year-old lived with her 16-year-old daughter.

When he saw the woman leave the building, he allegedly got out of the vehicle, approached her and shot her. The 45-year-old was killed at the entrance to the building.

Immediately afterward, according to the Greek authorities, the 48-year-old used the same weapon to shoot himself in the head. The pistol was found near his body.

Investigators are trying to determine how long the 48-year-old had been waiting outside the building, whether he knew in advance where the woman was and what had happened between them.

A complaint filed in 2024 is under investigation

Another element being examined by the authorities is a complaint filed by the 45-year-old at an Athens police station in July 2024.

She had reported that her former partner had not returned a motorcycle to her after their separation. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether the person named in the complaint was the same 48-year-old suspected of the killing.

The authorities are also investigating the 48-year-old’s social media posts, which included photographs of him posing with weapons. Investigators are checking whether the weapon shown in those photographs is connected to the pistol found at the scene.

Witness accounts

Local residents testified that they heard gunshots at around 05:30 in the morning.

One resident said she heard three gunshots, while another described them as three very loud bangs, several seconds apart.

Shortly afterward, residents also heard police sirens.
