Further details have emerged about the murder-suicide in Nea Smyrni, Athens, where 48-year-old Altin Allmuça killed his 45-year-old ex-partner, Julieta Obzova, before taking his own life.

According to testimony from one of the victim’s relatives, the 48-year-old is suspected of having sent the woman a photograph showing him holding a gun and pointing it at his head.

According to Greek media, he allegedly used the photograph to threaten that he would kill her and then take his own life.

The man had also attempted to contact his ex-partner’s brother. Her brother refused to meet him, telling him not to involve him any further in his relationship with his ex-partner and not to disturb her family.

Warnings Before the Incident

Testimony from the 48-year-old’s family members is also considered important to the investigation. According to them, he had warned his daughter and wife that he was preparing to do “something big,” without providing any specific details.

He had told his daughter that he might no longer be with her in the coming days. Meanwhile, he had given his wife all the money he had with him and asked her to take care of their child if he was no longer there.

His wife told investigators that she had not understood the reason for these actions. She had seen her husband crying and leaving their home. He spent the night elsewhere without telling her where he was or what he was doing.

According to testimony, this happened only a few hours before the killing.

Neighbor’s Testimony

The investigation also includes testimony from a neighbor who is believed to have witnessed the incident. He described to the authorities the position of the two bodies and how they were found at the scene.

The results of the forensic examinations are now pending. They will help complete the investigative case file and fully establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

With the suspected perpetrator now dead, criminal proceedings against him have been discontinued, while the investigation continues to fully establish the sequence of events in the tragedy and the circumstances that led to the killing of the 45-year-old woman.
