Dispute Over Filming at Kakome Beach Leaves Young Man Hospitalized After Assault

A dispute that began in the Kakome area ended with one person being injured following a confrontation with several young local residents.

According to the injured man’s testimony, he was filming the beach area with his phone when several young men pulled up beside him in a vehicle. They aggressively asked him, “Why are you filming?”, escalating the situation.

After insulting him, the young men allegedly punched him and then fled the scene.

The assault left the man with several injuries, including a fracture. He was taken to Saranda, where he received the necessary medical treatment.

Police have launched a search for those involved in the dispute. According to preliminary information, they have already been identified, while investigations are continuing to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and determine each person’s responsibility.

The confrontation occurred in one of Kakome’s tourist areas and, based on the injured man’s statements, is believed to have been prompted by his filming of the beach area.
