Details of Rama’s marathon meeting in Pogradec: from the “Besa” document to improving services and the 2027 elections

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting at the government villa in Pogradec that lasted more than six hours, opening the new political season of the Socialist Party. The meeting was attended by the political leaders of the 12 counties and the chairs of the parliamentary committees.

During the discussions, Rama listened to the remarks and proposals of political leaders for expanding and enriching the “Besa” document. Also in focus was his vision, built on four pillars: trust, empathy, service and commitment.

Another issue addressed was cooperation on the ground among ministers, deputies, political leaders and heads of local directorates. The goal of this coordination is to improve the services offered to citizens.

During the meeting, the head of the Socialists asked political leaders to begin preparations for the 2027 local elections.

After the meeting at the government villa ended, the political leaders and parliamentary committee chairs went to a hotel in the lake city, where they were joined by ministers for dinner.

On Monday at 9:30, ministers will undergo the “autumn exam” through an analysis of the performance of the departments they lead. Reports will also be presented in this process on each ministry’s media presence over recent months, a period when Edi Rama has spoken of the so-called “algorithm” against the government, produced by the protest square.
