Details emerge from the shooting in Palasë: Police conduct two-hour sea operation to stop the vessel, escort people on board

New details have emerged about the shooting that took place last night in the Palasë area, where shots were fired from a yacht.

It is learned that, following an operation lasting around two hours, the authorities stopped the vessel and escorted the people who were on board.

The incident occurred at around 9:00 p.m., when holidaymakers in the area notified the police that gunshots had been heard coming from a yacht.

Immediately after receiving the alert, Border Police and Marine Police Unit officers were urgently mobilized and began pursuing the vessel in the maritime area.

During the pursuit, two of the people on board the yacht attempted to approach the shore by dinghy in order to evade the police, but after seeing the officers on land, they turned back toward the yacht.

In an attempt to evade the officers, the yacht turned off its lights and continued moving at sea, but after two hours of pursuit, the vessel was stopped and taken to Porto Palermo for a thorough inspection.

Inspections are also expected to be carried out on the yacht in order to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
