Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski announced that a meeting of the Executive Committee of VMRO-DPMNE will be held next Tuesday, after which decisions on names and the reorganization of departments within the framework of the announced government reshuffle will be made public.
In an appearance on “Open Studio” on MRTV, Mickoski explained that this reshuffle is not linked only to the ministers’ performance so far, but also to the need to align with the priorities of the governing coalition partners.

“It is not only the results that matter, whether they were good, not good enough, or not good at all. Sometimes a reshuffle happens because priorities change. What was important two years ago now has a different form and requires a different approach,” the prime minister said.
According to him, each coalition partner has its own priorities in certain sectors, and this is precisely what will affect the changes to be made in the distribution of departments. He added that there is still no final decision on whether the reshuffle will include one-third of government posts or whether the number of changes will be greater.
Mickoski did not provide details on specific names or on the portfolios that could be affected by the changes, emphasizing that these are political decisions that must first be approved at the party level.
“First, the session of the Executive Committee must take place, and then we will announce the names and the portfolios. Essentially, this is about changing portfolios and aligning them with the new priorities of the government partners,” he said.
Speaking about the two-year period of the Government’s mandate, the prime minister said that the situation in the country is now significantly better than what his team found when it took over.
“We knew the situation was difficult, but what we found was far worse than expected. If someone was starting from zero, we started from a deep negative. Today I can say that the institutions are consolidated and ready to move forward more quickly,” Mickoski stressed.
In the end, he expressed confidence that the new government composition will secure support in Parliament and successfully carry its mandate forward, focusing on fulfilling the obligations undertaken toward the citizens.
