Daut Haradinaj calls for an urgent political meeting for a state response

Following the decision by the Special Court, Alliance official Daut Haradinaj called for political differences to be set aside and for institutions to act through a joint position.

He said that, in the face of what he described as a political court, all political actors must overcome narrow interests and their everyday clashes.

According to Haradinaj, a plan at the state level alone is not enough. He called for a nationwide approach, which must be built in coordination with local actors, Albania and international allies.

Haradinaj stressed that the strategy toward this court must elevate everyone above the politics of the day, both domestic and banal, while a state strategy should already have been beyond question.

He added that the next steps must be coordinated with every local actor and with international allies. In his view, this is not the time for the parties to pass responsibility to one another or throw the ball from one side to the other.

Saying that the people are in the squares, Haradinaj called on politicians to sit down urgently at the table—not in corners for power, but for ideas and state responses, together with Albania and the allies.
