Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister “erupts” at the Portuguese: We are envious and ignorant, you deserved more…

Elma Aveiro, Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, has reacted harshly on social media following the Portuguese star’s departure from the national team camp. Elma shared a strong message in support of her brother, criticizing the national team’s structure, the Portuguese media and a section of public opinion.

“CR7 deserved more respect. The national team deserved more structure. Portuguese journalism deserved more competence and fewer speculations,” said the message she shared.

However, the reaction became even stronger when the message criticized the Portuguese people, describing them as “envious, contemptuous and ignorant” and claiming that Portugal risks returning to the “mediocrity” of football before the Cristiano Ronaldo era.

The message ended with the words: “Thank you for everything, CR7! You deserved more”.

Elma accompanied the post with the phrase “Everything has been said”, making her support for her brother in the latest clash with the national team clear.

The reaction came shortly after Cristiano Ronaldo decided to leave Portugal’s training camp following developments involving coach Jorge Jesus. Ronaldo has said that he will explain the reasons for his decision “at the right time”.

THE FULL REACTION

“CR7 deserved more respect. The national team needed more structure. Portuguese journalism needed more professionalism and fewer speculations.

As for the Portuguese people… they do not deserve to have the best at anything.

We are envious, disrespectful and ignorant, and we deserve to return to the mediocrity we always had in football before CR7. Thank you for everything, CR7. You deserved more”.
