Court: Limaj, Geci, Mustafa and Gashi zealously implemented the criminal plan against opponents of the KLA

A criminal plan that targeted opponents of the KLA was carried out with dedication by Fatmir Limaj, Sabit Geci, Rrustem Mustafa and Latif Gashi, according to the assessment of the Trial Panel.

The court’s findings show that the plan envisaged the establishment of detention facilities in areas controlled by the KLA, the identification of persons seen as its opponents, their arrest and detention, and their killing when deemed necessary.

The Trial Panel stated that “the plan was simple and demonstrable”.

The court also found that none of the accused — Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi — took steps to stop or withdraw from this plan.

On the contrary, according to the court, they collectively contributed to, encouraged and enabled its implementation.

It was emphasized in court that “the plan was theirs and they remained faithful to it until they no longer needed it”.

According to the Trial Panel, the established crimes were the result of a criminal plan, which was carried out by the accused personally and through other persons.
