Clash in Parliament: Bardhi and Balliu splash water on Rama, Peleshi expels the head of the Democratic group

Opposition representatives continued to block the Parliament’s podium, as the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, approved the proposal of Taulant Balla, head of the Socialist parliamentary group, to proceed directly to the vote, ending the discussions.

At the moment of voting, opposition MPs gathered in front of the podium and banged hard on the tables, causing turmoil in the hall.

When tensions peaked, footage shows Gazment Bardhi, head of the DP parliamentary group, and MP Kelvis Balliu throwing water towards Prime Minister Edi Rama.

After this incident, Niko Peleshi expelled Bardhi from the session. Immediately, Bardhi escalated the clash by also throwing the voting cards at the Prime Minister’s cabin.
