A FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv was diverted to Saudi Arabia in an emergency after a violent incident between the two pilots, according to sources cited by CNN.

During the flight, the plane descended rapidly, losing about 17,000 meters of altitude in just over two minutes. The crew then sent an emergency signal.
According to an Israeli official, the incident is not suspected to be a hijacking but an internal dispute among personnel on board.
After receiving the emergency signal, Israel scrambled fighter jets. The country’s prime minister and defense minister also held a consultation on the security situation.
The plane is expected to land in Saudi Arabia, where authorities will investigate the circumstances of the incident.
