Clash Among Minors Prevented as Police Intervene; 28 Young People Face Proceedings!

A conflict between several groups of minors was prevented by police in the Kombinat area of Tirana. The capital’s police said that 28 minors have been placed under proceedings while at liberty in connection with the incident, some of whom were carrying bladed weapons.

During the physical search, several of them were found carrying knives, screwdrivers and other sharp tools, while several masks were also seized.

In total, the police seized five bladed weapons and sharp tools.

Statement:

Tirana/Immediate police intervention prevented a conflict from developing between several minors.

Twenty-eight minor citizens have been placed under proceedings while at liberty, some of whom possessed bladed weapons/sharp tools.

Five bladed weapons/sharp tools were seized.

After receiving operational information that several groups of minors were going to clash with one another in Kombinat, officers from Police Commissariat No. 6, in cooperation with officers from the “Eagle” Special Force, immediately organized their response and intervened to prevent the conflict.

Based on the information received, police officers located several minors divided into groups on “Llambi Bonata” Street, who were suspected of planning to clash with one another. The police intervened immediately and escorted the minors to the premises of Police Commissariat No. 6.

During the physical search, some of them were found carrying bladed weapons (knives), screwdrivers, as well as several masks, which were seized as material evidence.

Procedural actions involving the minors were carried out in the presence of their parents and psychologists. Following communication with the prosecutor, proceedings while at liberty were initiated against 28 minor citizens aged between 13 and 17.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution Office for further action.
