Checks on luxury cars in Lezhë: a “Rolls-Royce” seized, property investigation launched for owner residing in Britain

This Thursday, Lezhë Police structures launched a focused operation on luxury vehicles circulating in the city, aiming to verify their origin and uncover criminally sourced assets.

As part of this operation, the Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Unit, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force and the Traffic Police, seized a “Rolls-Royce” luxury vehicle.

During field verifications regarding the purchase, sale, and ownership history of the vehicle, police found a complete lack of official documentation. For this reason, an administrative seizure of the “Rolls-Royce” was ordered, and the case file was forwarded to the relevant structures to launch a property investigation against its owner, citizen F. M., residing in the United Kingdom.

Lezhë Police announced that these joint controls will continue in the coming days targeting luxury category vehicles, focusing on combating the laundering of proceeds from criminal offenses and preventing the trafficking of vehicles obtained through criminal activities.
