Cause of American actress Hayden Panettiere’s death revealed; she died at 36

Hayden Panettiere was found unconscious on August 16 in her apartment in South Carolina, where she was with her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach Hickerson. According to police, emergency services were alerted by an acquaintance of the actress.

An officer who went to the apartment said he saw paramedics performing CPR on an unresponsive woman. He added that no obvious physical cause that could explain her condition was observed at the time.

The Greenville County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the American actress died as a result of the toxic effects of fentanyl and other substances.

Traces of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol and quetiapine were found in the 36-year-old’s body. Medical examiners found no signs of trauma and classified the manner of death as accidental.

The Greenville Police Department also said that the preliminary investigation found no evidence of illegal activity or suspicious circumstances.

Panettiere’s death, which occurred on August 16 in her apartment in South Carolina, was followed by a statement from her family. Her father, Skip Panettiere, said that his daughter had brought love and joy to the people who knew her, as well as to the millions of fans who had followed her on screen.

The actress began her career at a very young age and gained international recognition through her roles in the television series “Heroes” and “Nashville.”

Her role as country music singer Juliette Barnes in “Nashville” earned her two Golden Globe nominations. Among the films in which she appeared are “Scream 4” and “Scream VI.”

In 2014, Panettiere became the mother of a daughter, Kaya, whom she had with her former fiancé, Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko.

Over the years, the actress had spoken openly about dealing with postpartum depression, anxiety and substance addiction. In previous interviews, she had discussed her recovery process and her efforts to rebuild her relationship with her daughter.
