Car goes off the road in North Macedonia, three Kosovo nationals lose their lives

A Mercedes vehicle with German license plates was found overturned on the road section from the Bllaca border crossing towards Skopje, claiming the lives of three individuals of Kosovar origin who had been reported missing.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia announced that on July 19, 2026, around 10:35 p.m., officers were alerted to the incident and upon arriving at the scene, they found that the car contained a man and two women, with no signs of life.

The Emergency Medical Services team also arrived at the scene and confirmed the death of the three victims.

Earlier that same day, at 1:40 p.m., a Kosovar citizen had reported at the Bit Pazar Police Station to denounce the disappearance of three individuals. According to him, the last communication with them had been on July 18, around 10:15 p.m., when they were at Skopje Airport, after which there had been no further sign of them.

This fatal accident confirms the case of the missing persons for whom family members had made public appeals for help. The authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of the victims and investigations are ongoing to clarify the full circumstances of the tragedy.
