British 31-year-old woman dies after being stabbed at train station; young man arrested

A 31-year-old British woman has died after being stabbed at a railway station in Germany.

Police were alerted to the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning after a woman was reported to have suffered serious stab wounds at the train station in Rosenheim, Bavaria. She was rushed to hospital, but doctors were unable to save her life, and the 31-year-old died shortly afterward.

Immediately after the attack, a 27-year-old German man was arrested on the station premises. He is suspected of carrying out the attack.

It is not yet known whether the victim and the arrested man knew each other previously. German police are continuing their investigation to determine the motive and the circumstances in which the attack took place.

Authorities have appealed to anyone who was at the station during the early morning hours and may have witnessed an argument or physical altercation to contact the police.

Investigators are working to reconstruct the moments leading up to the stabbing and establish the cause of the confrontation that resulted in the death of the 31-year-old British woman.
