Berisha on the protest: It must be brought to a successful conclusion, it is a duty to the martyrs of freedom

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha commented on the protest during a meeting with former political prisoners held at the party’s headquarters.

He delivered his remarks at an event organized by the DP’s Department of Former Political Prisoners, titled “Crime must not become oblivion,” where he focused on political developments and the civic protest that has been continuing for more than a month.

Berisha stressed that bringing the protest to a successful conclusion is a duty to the victims of the dictatorship and the martyrs of freedom.

“We must do everything to ensure that its mission is successfully completed. Everyone’s contribution is extraordinary. This is the greatest honor we can pay to the martyrs of freedom, to those who fell for the nation,” Berisha said.

He accused the Rama government of authoritarianism and said Albanians must be ready for a “decisive battle” to change the political situation in the country.

“Edi Rama is now, before the whole world, a tyrant. But tyrants never leave on their own. Therefore, every Albanian man and woman must be prepared for the decisive battle against this regime, to save Albania,” the DP leader said.

According to Berisha, confronting the current government is also tied to a responsibility toward the country’s future and the younger generations.
