Beqiri after machinery fire: The project will not stop, Shkëndija’s stadium will be completed

The mayor of the Municipality of Haraçina, Daut Beqiri, has reacted following the incident in which the machinery being used to build Haraçina’s Shkëndija stadium was set on fire.

He called on the authorities to shed light on the case as soon as possible, noting that law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation. According to Beqiri, those responsible must face justice.

Beqiri described the burning of the machinery as an attack on an initiative intended to serve sport, young people and the development of Haraçina.

“This is a blow against a project that serves sport, youth and the development of Haraçina. Nevertheless, it must be clear to everyone: no one can stop us,” he said.

The mayor of Haraçina assured that the incident would not affect the progress of the work, which would continue until the stadium was completed.

“The work will continue and the project will be completed. Shkëndija’s stadium will be built. Haraçina has waited 50 years for this day, and we will not back down,” Beqiri said.

According to him, the stadium represents not only an investment in sport, but also an opportunity for the children, young people and future of Shkëndija club.

“Machinery can be burned, but the will to build cannot be burned. The stadium will rise, and Shkëndija will have its own home,” he said.

Beqiri also delivered a direct message to those seeking to obstruct the project, stressing that he would not surrender in the face of pressure, threats or obstacles.

“You do not frighten me. I will not stop in the face of pressure, threats or obstacles. I will see this project through to the end,” the mayor of Haraçina declared.

He reiterated that the objective remained the completion of the stadium, which would serve the athletes and young people of Haraçina.

“You know me. I am a man of my word, and when I give my word, I keep it. This time, the word has been given: Shkëndija’s stadium will be built!” Beqiri concluded.
