BDI: The €42,000 contract from “Bardovci” Hospital was awarded to the director’s cousin’s company

BDI claims that another scandal is emerging under the VLEN government. According to the party, the public contract of the “Bardovci” Psychiatric Hospital, worth up to €42,000 annually, was won by a company owned by the institution director’s cousin.

BDI says that, based on information made public, Besim Avdullai, owner of “Indigo Inc” DOOEL Skopje, has a family relationship with director Isa Avdullai. They stress that the director himself has acknowledged this family connection, explaining that they are second or third cousins.

According to the party, the contract covers the maintenance of security systems, the licensing of 300 email accounts, the monitoring of 300 computers or servers, a next-generation firewall, as well as other information technology services. The maximum projected amount is 2.59 million denars, or approximately €42,000.

BDI emphasizes that the director considers the procedure legal, arguing that he did not participate in the commission that made the selection. However, the party is calling for clarification as to whether the potential conflict of interest was properly verified and addressed, given that the winning company is owned by his cousin.

For this reason, BDI is calling for an immediate response from the Anti-Corruption Commission, the Public Procurement Bureau and the other responsible institutions. It says that the procedure, bids, criteria, participants and any circumstances that may have influenced the selection of the winning company should be examined in their entirety.
