The battle against the flames continues in Mallakastër, where the situation remains problematic in the Drenie area. The strong winds that began blowing around midday have fueled the spread of the flames, reigniting fire hotspots and making it more difficult for forces on the ground to intervene.

Firefighting forces from Patos, Mallakastër and Roskovec continue working from the ground to contain the hotspots and halt the advance of the flames.
