Bashkim Jashari conveys congratulations to Carsten Breuer on his election as head of NATO’s Military Committee

Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, congratulated General Carsten Breuer following his election as chair of NATO’s Military Committee.

According to Jashari, taking on this duty constitutes an important responsibility through which Breuer can contribute with professionalism, dedication and integrity to the fulfillment of strategic objectives, as well as to advancing the process of the Republic of Kosovo’s alignment with NATO.

The KSF announcement emphasized that the new mandate comes at a particularly sensitive time for the Alliance and creates an opportunity for General Breuer’s vision and experience to help strengthen cooperation, build long-term partnerships and support efforts to preserve peace and security in the Balkan region, particularly in the Republic of Kosovo.

In addition, his direct knowledge of the region and developments in Kosovo, including Breuer’s previous service and visits to the country, is considered an important foundation for further deepening cooperation and achieving common goals.

Lieutenant General Jashari wished General Breuer success in his new post, productive work and significant results during his mandate, which is expected to begin in the summer of 2027.
