Bahtiri supports government initiative to amend the Law on Specialist Chambers

VV MP Agim Bahtiri has expressed his support for the Kurti government’s decision to begin procedures to amend and supplement the Law on Specialist Chambers.

According to Bahtiri, the initiative aims to address past mistakes and support former KLA leaders. He also called on citizens to avoid divisions and preserve unity.

“I strongly support the Kurti government’s approval of the legislative initiative for ‘Draft Law No. 11/L- 001 on amending and supplementing Law No. 05/L-053 on the Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor’s Office,’” Bahtiri wrote.

He said Prime Minister Kurti is using every means at his disposal to support the former KLA leaders and correct what he described as serious mistakes made earlier by others. Bahtiri stressed that Kurti had urged them not to take actions that could have national consequences.

“When others rushed to sign without thinking about the national consequences, an injustice was created that weighs heavily today,” he said.

Bahtiri called on citizens not to allow unnecessary divisions, saying that only through unity can the country’s truth be defended. According to him, divisions among citizens serve the enemy, so he called for a strong, common position that no one could break.
