Latest data from the State Statistical Office show that the average net salary in North Macedonia was 48,381 denars in June. This marked a decrease of 1,163 denars compared with May, when the average salary reached 49,544 denars.

Compared with the same month last year, salaries increased nominally by 6.4%. However, on a monthly basis, the average nominal net salary fell by 2.3%, while after accounting for inflation, the real decline was 1.9%. Annual real growth, meanwhile, stood at 3.4%.
The lowest salary levels in June were recorded in the accommodation and food service activities sector, where the average was 34,200 denars. The highest salaries were recorded in the information and communications sector, at 88,262 denars. The difference between these two sectors amounted to 54,062 denars.
