Authorities are trying to secure the surrender of Armand Shakaj, suspected of the murder of Eglant Koçi

Armand Shakaj remains on the run, while according to media sources, efforts and contacts are underway to persuade him to surrender to the authorities.

At the same time, communication with his family members began in the earliest stages of the investigation and intensified after the body was found. However, Shakaj’s relatives flatly deny having had any contact with him and say they know nothing about his whereabouts.

The investigation into the serious incident in which 34-year-old Eglant Koçi lost his life has revealed that a wound was found on the back of the victim’s head. This detail has strengthened suspicions that Shakaj, known by the nickname “Mand Dhelpra,” used a firearm, which has still not been located by police.

According to investigators, the suspect changed his phone numbers several times during and after the incident. His phone signals were also detected in the Tirana area, raising suspicions that he may have gone into hiding in isolated areas near the capital. Despite this, police checks and searches have not yet produced any results.

Meanwhile, the body of 34-year-old Eglant Koçi was laid to rest today, amid the grief of family members and relatives.
