Arrested for double murder in Greece: Nikolin Pali was also wanted by Interpol Tirana; his 41-year-old partner was arrested too

Nikolin Pali, the 43-year-old Albanian arrested in Greece after six years on the run for a double murder, was also wanted by the Albanian authorities. According to information released by the Greek authorities, Interpol Tirana was seeking him in connection with another criminal case: attempted armed robbery committed with accomplices. An international arrest warrant had also been issued in that case.

During a search of the home where he was hiding in Athens, Greek special forces unit EKAM seized a pistol, two grenades, two ignition mechanisms, three pairs of handcuffs and a residence permit suspected of being forged. His partner, a 41-year-old Albanian woman, was also arrested in the operation. Greek authorities suspect her of helping the perpetrator evade justice.

Pali had been wanted for the double murder in Loutraki in October 2020, when his former partner and a pharmacist were killed with an axe. Following his arrest, Greek authorities have begun examining his activities during the years he spent in hiding and are also investigating whether he is linked to other crimes.
