Application opens for 2026 subsidies, Hoxha: Don’t wait until the last moment

The process for obtaining subsidy funds in the agriculture sector for the coming year is now open. Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Albrim Hoxha, conveyed to farmers the message not to put off submitting their documentation until the last days.

During a statement to the media, Hoxha stressed the importance of submitting applications on time, urging farmers to benefit from the financial assistance made available by the authorities. He added that teams from the ministry’s regional units are ready to provide guidance and solutions for any unclear situations that may arise during the application procedure.

The application is carried out entirely online, through the digital platform of the Agency for Financial Support in Agriculture and Rural Development. This year’s scheme includes several categories: direct payments divided into basic support and additional income support, calculated based on land area and livestock numbers, as well as subsidies for production quantity, for inputs, and for small agricultural economic units.

Officials remind that before starting the application process, it is essential for farmers to verify and update their personal and property data in the state registries. The guidance material on direct payment procedures, valid for 2026, has been published on the agency’s official portal to assist users.

Finally, the entire cycle of file acceptance will close on September 30, 2026.
