Andy Burnham Seen Near Downing Street, but the Question Remains Whether He Is Ready to Lead Britain

Sources close to Burnham’s staff have indicated that preparations to take control of Downing Street have not yet been completed. According to them, there is a possibility that Starmer could remain in office until the autumn, so that the new team is given more time to get organised.

However, other figures close to Burnham do not see this development as likely. They believe that, if he remains the only candidate for the post, he could take office as prime minister as early as July.

With the political climate in Westminster continuing to be tense, the idea is gaining strength that Burnham could be the person to take on the task of uniting the Labour Party and setting up a new functional government in the coming months.
