The chairman of the Democratic Union for Integration, Ali Ahmeti, has called on Albanians in Preševo, Bujanovac, Medveđa and other settlements to turn out in large numbers in Serbia’s parliamentary elections on October 25.
Ahmeti issued the appeal in a Facebook post, emphasizing the role of Albanian political representation in the Serbian Parliament in protecting national, linguistic and civil rights.

“The political presence of Albanians in the Serbian Parliament is particularly important for guaranteeing national, linguistic and civil rights, as well as for addressing concerns related to discrimination, injustices and the difficulties faced by Albanians in these areas. In this year’s elections, Albanian political entities are running together through the joint list ‘Albanian Coalition,’ numbered 17. Massive participation in the electoral process is an opportunity to express the free will of the people and consolidate the democratic representation of Albanians,” Ahmeti wrote.
