Albanians’ Wealth Turned into Yachts and Planes/ Berisha Calls for Clarification on Whether the Castle in France Belongs to Ermal Beqiraj or Edi and Olsi Rama

During a statement to the media outside SPAK’s premises, Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha commented on Ermal Beqiraj’s arrest in France and the assets seized or identified there, including a castle.

Berisha raised suspicions that the luxury assets, which he said were acquired with money from Albanians’ salaries and pensions, may be linked to people close to those in power.

He stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama would not accept other people with castles in his circle.

According to Berisha, the investigation must determine whether the castle is owned by Ermal Beqiraj or by Edi and Olsi Rama. “He had a castle, yachts and planes. Albanians’ salaries and pensions were stolen and turned into fabulous wealth by Ermal Beqiri.

However, the investigations will show that the castle may belong to Edi Rama, because he would not tolerate any other castle owners in his circle besides himself,” he said.
