The situation in the villages of Galush and Gjevur, part of the Përparim Administrative Unit in Peqin, worsened after 22:00. The flames spread rapidly and reached homes in Galush.

The fire has engulfed a considerable area, putting residents and emergency services at risk.
The damage caused so far includes thousands of olive and nut trees, large areas of shrubs and vegetation, as well as food supplies belonging to several families.
One of the homes in Galush was unable to escape the flames and was completely destroyed.
The spread of the fire toward populated areas during the evening increased the risk to lives and property. Firefighting teams are working to bring the blazes under control and protect the homes.
The flames, which have engulfed Galush and Gjevur for hours, have damaged olive groves, orchards, shrubs and other agricultural land. So far, the fire has burned through at least 25 hectares.
