Today, the former director of the National Agency of Information Society (AKSHI), Mirlinda Karçanaj, appeared at SPAK as part of the investigation into the AKSHI case.
Karçanaj is under investigation and is accused of criminal offenses related to violating the equality of participants in tenders and participating in a structured criminal group.

Karçanaj was previously placed under the security measure of “house arrest,” but the measure against her has been eased and she is currently subject to an “obligation to report.”
Her appearance at SPAK follows the obligation to report to the prosecution body, while investigations into the AKSHI case continue.
Mirlinda Karçanaj has been charged with “Violation of the equality of participants in tenders or public auctions,” committed in the special form of cooperation involving a structured criminal group; “Structured criminal group”; and “Commission of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group.”
