Today, the former director of the National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI), Mirlinda Karçanaj, appeared at the SPAK premises as part of the investigation into the AKSHI case.
Karçanaj is under investigation and has been charged with criminal offenses related to violating the equality of participants in tenders and participating in a structured criminal group.

Karçanaj was previously under the security measure of “house arrest,” but the measure against her has been eased and she is currently subject to an “obligation to appear.”
Her appearance at SPAK follows the obligation to report to the prosecution office, while investigations into the AKSHI case continue.
Mirlinda Karçanaj has been charged with “Violation of the equality of participants in tenders or public auctions,” committed in the special form of cooperation, namely that of a structured criminal group, as well as “Structured criminal group” and “Commission of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and structured criminal group.”
