Adelina Ismaili has spoken about Albanian artists’ journey into the international market, focusing particularly on two of the biggest names in global music, Dua Lipa and Rita Ora.

During a recent media interview, the singer shared her perspective on how appearance and beauty standards influence the music industry.

She said that away from the stage and their carefully curated images, both singers would look like ordinary girls.

“Dua Lipa and Rita Ora without makeup, without their hair done, are ordinary,” Ismaili stated.

According to her, the international success of Albanian artists is also linked to the opportunities offered by the Western market, while in Kosovo they would not necessarily have had the same scope to become famous.

“I think it is now easier for our girls to break through in the West than in Kosovo. I don’t believe they would have ‘made it’ if they had stayed here, given the standards that have been set today,” she said.

Meanwhile, after weeks of speculation, it is now official: Adelina Ismaili and DJ Gimbo will release their first musical collaboration. The two artists have shared their first photos together, confirming the project that had sparked curiosity.

It was Gimbo who also revealed the song’s title. “Janane is coming,” the DJ wrote alongside the photos, teasing the release of the new project.
