Speaking from Milan, activist Aleks Vulaj told News24 television that the diaspora and citizens opposed to the cabinet led by Edi Rama are firmly demanding the formation of a technical government, which they consider essential to safeguarding Albania’s future.

According to Vulaj, the citizens’ protest aims to restore the rule of law. He said the prime minister’s negative reactions show that the government is panicking, while Edi Rama sees himself as trapped and does not know how to act.
The activist said that removing Edi Rama’s government and forming a technical executive are achievable demands. He stressed that the protesters want a functioning state, not power, while a technical government, in his view, would give them the strength and hope to continue pursuing the great European dream.
Vulaj also warned that the diaspora’s resistance would not be limited to protests organized abroad. If their demands are not addressed, he said activists would also come to Albania and escalate their response.
He announced that rallies in Milan would continue, while among the possible actions he mentioned launching a hunger strike, holding continuous protests and blocking infrastructure if there is no response.
