Accident on Fier-Lushnje Highway: Car Veers Off Road and Ends Up in Underpass, Driver Injured

A road accident was reported this morning on the Fier-Lushnje highway near the village of Kolonjë. An Audi traveling from Fier toward Lushnje lost control, veered off the road and ended up in the underpass leading to the Kolonjë area.

The vehicle sustained extensive damage in the heavy impact. The driver suffered minor injuries and was rushed to Lushnje Hospital to receive the necessary medical treatment. Fortunately, the driver is out of danger.

Traffic Police officers immediately arrived at the scene and began documenting the incident and investigating the full circumstances of the accident.

Preliminary suspicions indicate that an incorrect maneuver by the driver was the main cause of the vehicle leaving the road. Fortunately, the incident had no consequences for other road users, while the results of the police forensic examination are awaited to determine the exact cause of the accident.
