AA: Latest Microbiological Analyses Show Improvement and Stabilization of the Situation in Gostivar

The Alliance for Albanians announced in a statement that the latest results from microbiological analyses of water samples taken at four locations in Gostivar indicate that the situation is improving and moving toward stabilization.

AA called on citizens to continue following the recommendations of the relevant institutions and to obtain information only from official sources. According to the party, citizens’ concerns are entirely understandable and justified, but calm, restraint and cooperation are needed until all analyses and related procedures have been completed.

The statement urged against drawing premature conclusions and called for labels or accusations to be avoided until the institutions have completed their professional work. At the same time, AA appealed for an end to insulting and divisive language, stressing that public health should be a unifying issue and should not be exploited for political confrontation.

The Alliance for Albanians emphasized that the Crisis Headquarters is fulfilling its duties, while the mayor of the Municipality of Gostivar has made all municipal resources available to manage the situation and assist citizens. The support and engagement of the Government and central institutions were also described as important and welcome.

According to AA, protecting citizens’ health, providing continuous and transparent information, and normalizing the situation as quickly as possible must remain the only priorities.
