47-Year-Old Skopje Man Arrested on Suspicion of Attacking Two Energy Company Employees

A 47-year-old man from Skopje was arrested by police yesterday on suspicion of knocking over a ladder on which an EVN employee was standing and then striking another company employee with a hard object, the Interior Ministry said.

According to the Interior Ministry, on August 17, 2026, at around 10:10 a.m., officers from the Skopje Police Department arrested D.G. (47) from Skopje in the Šuto Orizari area. The intervention followed an earlier report alleging that he had pushed over a ladder on which an EVN Macedonia employee was standing, while physically attacking another EVN employee and striking him with a hard object. Both employees were performing their official duties at the time of the incident.

Once the case has been fully documented, the Violent Crime Unit – Violent Crime Department at the Skopje Police Department will file criminal charges on reasonable suspicion of the criminal offense of “violence.”
