38-year-old arrested in Dibër for firing gun to frighten citizens

Dibër police have arrested a 38-year-old man accused of firing a gun into the air to frighten several people. According to official sources, crime investigation specialists at the Dibër Police Commissariat, in coordination with the local DVP investigative forces, have deepened the work to clarify the incident recorded on the evening of July 24, 2026, along “Elez Isufi” Boulevard.

As part of the operation, citizen with initials F. I., 38 years old, residing in the village of Pollozhan, Dibër, was arrested in flagrante. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old youth, identified as K. I., also a resident of Pollozhan, is being investigated at large. Preliminary investigation findings suggest that the 38-year-old, in cooperation with the 19-year-old, fired into the air to intimidate a group of individuals, among them M. H., 52; L. H., 21; O. H., 25; R. H., 21; J. Sh., 18; and K. D., 18, all residents of Peshkopi and Pollozhan.

During the investigation, several other individuals have been placed under criminal proceedings for the offense of “Failure to report a crime,” as they are believed to have known about the incident but did not report it to police authorities.

Also, procedural materials have been referred for another citizen, G. I., 44 years old from Pollozhan, this time under the charge of “Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth.” The investigative file has been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Dibër First Instance Court for further legal steps.
