13-year-old stabbed in Čair remains in life-threatening condition

The 13-year-old boy who was stabbed in the heart during a brawl in Čair remains in serious condition and is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit at the Clinical Center.

He was taken to the Emergency Center on Monday evening and underwent surgery immediately. At the request of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office, a pretrial judge ordered measures to ensure the presence of suspect B.I., who is suspected of violence against a child.

Health Minister Sasho Klekovski said today that the latest information available to him was from yesterday. According to him, the 13-year-old is in stable condition, but his life remains at risk. He cited as a positive development the fact that the kinetics, namely the movement of the heart, are normal, although the condition remains life-threatening.

The bloody incident occurred three days ago, at around 22:00, on “Macedonian-Kosovar Brigade” Street in Skopje’s Čair district. The suspect and his underage brother, who has not reached the legal age of criminal responsibility, seriously wounded the 13-year-old and an adult with a knife, while another child sustained minor injuries.

Five people were involved in the brawl, only one of whom was an adult, and knives and baseball bats were used. Klekovski said the boy’s condition remains serious and that doctors have done everything within their power./Telegrafi/
