Zubin Potok: Police Arrest Another War Crimes Suspect on Special Prosecutor’s Office Order

Another person has been arrested in the municipality of Zubin Potok on suspicion of war crimes during an operation conducted by the Kosovo Police in cooperation with the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo.

A joint statement by the two institutions said that the detainee, identified by the initials J.R., is suspected of committing the criminal offense of “War Crimes against the Civilian Population.”

The operation was carried out by the Kosovo Police Directorate for the Investigation of War Crimes, based on an order from the Special Prosecutor’s Office and as part of the ongoing investigation into the case.

According to the authorities, the arrest followed intensive investigative work by police investigators together with the Special Prosecutor’s Office. The statement emphasized that these efforts are part of the institutions’ ongoing commitment to investigating and solving war crimes.

The Kosovo Police and the Special Prosecutor’s Office said they will continue to take all necessary investigative measures in connection with the Zubin Potok war crimes case, and that the public will be informed in due course.
